In 2017, Eerdmans published Church in Ordinary Time: A Wisdom Ecclesiology by Amy Plantinga Pauw. Pauw is Henry P. Mobley Jr. Professor of Doctrinal Theology at Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. Her previous books include a commentary on Proverbs and Ecclesiastes and The Supreme Harmony of All: The Trinitarian Theology of Jonathan Edwards.From the publisher's description of Church in Ordinary Time:
Much of Christian theology is focused on the story of Jesus and the promised consummation of all things-but the church spends its life in the gap between them. How can we live more faithfully as Christians in this gap between the resurrection of Christ and the eschaton?
